I started watching Eddie Izzard yesterday morning, and I'm still going through all his specials. Which just means that I've heard the word "Jam" at least 654 times since yesterday morning. And now I want marmalade. Whatever.

So, portrait commission! This is how they happen!


Almost done. I think 2 more hours tomorrow, and then it's off to post.

And then, nothing but sewing and desk job and more sewing.
And then, when Septenary is over, I will have a nip of whiskey, sleep for a day, and then start that 4-foot watercolor painting.
Hot damn, summer!

For now, a little more painting, and sleep.

One last pass through all the notes and scribbles I've made for the last couple years about this piece for next month's show. Reading and gathering scraps and colors, drafting the final pattern pieces. I can't wait for this show!!

Korea, and then helping friends move, took some time away from the internet (except for posting food pictures I guess) but not from the desk.

I've been sketching my way through several large projects, and laying in new watercolor blocks for painting.

The amount of wool felt that is about to explode in my little treehouse ...oof.
This "monstrosity" is a soft-sculpture (like these bastards) that I'm creating for the upcoming and amazing show at OhNo!Doom - Septenary. It's going to be good. You should probably come to it. The artists showing are all on my list of favorite people. Also, I'll give you a beer. Details on that later!

Alright. I'm going to go watch this a few more times and then get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a long long day, but worth it when it ends with a midnight showing of Prometheus! Happy Thursday, xoxo.
