these two are new in the shop today. i like them a lot - i went to the Fancy Felt store and bought some Fancy Felt, so they're pretty nice.

if i had the funding, a venue, and a year to work, i'd make The Garden Of Earthy Delights, in fiber and plush form. and then i'd have a big party inside of it, and we'd all eat strawberries.

this little red fellow though, he's from the st anthony triptych. or i guess, he's my felt interpretation of the bosch creature.

i like these little guys so much, because they look like baby houses. as if someday, if they eat enough children's fingerbones, they will grow up to be real witch-cottages. for now though, they flock and scuttle around my studio, nipping at my toes and making awful screeching noises.

also, collin david is a gentleman and a scholar.

here's a story

last night, i had a dream that baba yaga came for me, and she was pissed, and started throwing sharp-clawed chicken feet at me and screaming something or other. so, i woke up like.. "um. hm. maybe i should explain that i'm making little chicken houses out of respect, because i love old stories and i think they're far better for you than anything on tv or facebooks."

so, this house i made today, special for baba yaga. if you go to see her, you are to bring her blue roses to show respect, and maybe she will grant you wishes in exchange, and maybe she will make them into tea, and maybe, as my friend piotr says, maybe she will still eat you anyway. in any case, i made her a little house and covered it in sprawling blue roses.
