Man, I'm sleepy.
Also, dunno if I mentioned it, but I am now accepting commissions for portraits - pencil and / or watercolor paintings. I'll draw your face! Probably with some bugs or birds or dandylions around it. You can email me if interested for cost/info:

James
Pretty much the entirety of St Patrick's Day was spent hiding from the drunk madness of Belmont Ave. The street was already filled with mobs of green-clad wobbling bar-hoppers at 9:30 am. I stayed indoors painting until 10:30pm, which was when we finally put down the brushes and headed out to find a Murphy's on tap.
Although to be festive, I did eat green M&M's and drink a wee bit of whiskey while I worked.
All day Sunday was the same, but without the whiskey or beer.
Anyway, James is done now:
7" x 10" watercolor and pencil on 140lb cold press

oops
Doodling for 5 minutes before sleep last night turned into a couple sketchbook pages. On one of which this lady happened:
Sleep later. Or, never. Whatever.

getting the lines down, catching up.
The desk job is going to kill me this week, I can feel it. But if it doesn't, I'm hoping to get some paint flung on the blocks I have going right now. This little block with James on it is just about ready.
And the Bee Queen is pulling up quickly behind.
Once the Bee Queen is cut off the big block, this lady is getting painted:
You've seen her before, and like the Bee Queen, she's back and ready to rock.
The Magpie is ready for paint, and as soon as she's cut off that block, then I start a portrait of Naomi
which I'm excited about. I've been meaning to paint Naomi for years and finally had an idea line up that suited.
Although right now I think I'm just going to go doodle in my sketchbook in bed until I pass out. I give it 5 minutes.

Magpies
Spent 2 hours at DPAL last night for life-drawing
And then came home and did this until 2:30am
And now I am sleepy.
Oh, did I mention there's new amigurumi coming to my Etsy shop?
This weekend they'll start rolling in - this little guy is the first of a few.
Which reminds me. I'm about to head out for stouts and giggles with Beth - have you seen what she's been up to lately? You should really Check it out.
xo!
