for me these fortune cookie embroideries are somewhere between: reactionary joke against the perpetuation of bullshit aesthetics and general crap, and, just something i think is funny and a good idea and enjoy making.

i amuse only myself, i suppose. probably bad for business...

i've been really itching to use this great colorway yarn i got - the one up front there - it's from uruguay and it smells amazing and its soft and the colors are amazing. i dont like making whole ami's out of colorway yarn - but for horns and details it's perfect.

im pretty happy with how the two similar yet unique patterns / body shapes turned out


i feel in love with this little blue guy and did not want to mail him away




my brain drew a complete blank on how to make a hat. but again, im happy with what my fingers came up with.

the farmstand in town finally opened and has the best strawberries in the world. this is pretty much all i eat for the month of may.

some days, like yesterday, the mail is just way better than any other day.

so yesterday i sat around and ate strawberries and watched amelie and flipped through some of the best little comics you can get and looked at my happy new prints and basically enjoyed myself a lot.

well, this was going to be a treehouse, but then i got this far and liked it just the way it was. So, ta-da. Little house. One thing i'll never get sick of with making things is the fact that i can do whatever the heck i want. so there. i do still wanna make a treehouse soon... magnolias.

anyway you can totally buy it.

in other news, we're about 2 hours away from spring strawberries. i'm going to show up at the farmstand right when they open, with a fist-full of cash. it is completely gorgeous outside. i win.
